Some Insane Friendster Comments

I was feeling extremely bored so I decided to look through my old Friendster comments. Wow, I just remembered that I used to send a whole truckload of testimonials to Kim on a daily basis and there were some pretty funny and insane ones in between the rude ones. Here are some that I dug out.

Emo Songs To Soothe The Soul

I was feeling kind of down today and one thing that I simply MUST do in moments of emo-ness is listen to emo songs. There's at least one song that suits every single reason for being depressed and I've made an incomplete list of songs that accompanies me while I wallow in self-pity.

1. Secondhand Serenade - Fall For You
Suitable for people who are in a relationship and are madly in love. It's not even an emo song but it's got a heart touching tune to it.

2. James Blunt - 1973
Appropriate for old people who are reminiscing of their clubbing days in the year 1973. If you know someone by the name of Simona then this is the song for you.

3. No Doubt - Don't Speak
Should be listened by people who just experienced a bad breakup. Damn, this was my theme song in Form 5. T_T

4. Avril Lavigne - Losing Grip
This song will be enjoyed by girls who feel neglected by their boyfriends. One of my favourites.

5. Billy Talent - Pins And Needles
A song from my absolutely favourite punk rock band. The music is capable of inducing tears at random moments.

6. My Chemical Romance - I Don't Love You
This is a heartbreaking song but it's good for inspiring people to move on after a breakup.

7. Eagle Eye Cherry - Save Tonight
This song helps to cheer me up sometimes. It's sort of reminiscent of the good times I used to have.

8. Nelly Furtado - Try
Feel like you're always beaten down even after giving your all? Feel like your best efforts are never enough? This is the song for you!

9. Backstreet Boys - Inconsolable
No emo session is complete without Backstreet Boys, who else sings about rejected passions, unspoken desires and soppy love stories? The title says it all, I'm Inconsolable so leave me alone.

10. Snow - Sakasama No Chou
The tune is just so effing sad. *starts sobbing uncontrollably*

11. Jackie Chan & Kim - Endless Love
Okay, so I'm kind of embarassed to have this song on my playlist but The Myth is one of my favourite movies! This song is beautiful because I imagine it to be about a love that lasts for eternity [like the movie]. *sigh*

12. P.Diddy Feat. Keri - After Love
Sick of love? Tired of getting hurt? Yeap, listen to this.

13. Papa Roach - Last Resort
I listen to this song when I'm pissed off. I'll start banging my head around and kicking out at random objects. It helps though.

14. Pearl Jam - Last Kiss
Oh where oh where can my baby be? The Lord took her away from me... She's gone to heaven so I got to be good. So I can see my baby when I leave... This world. [argh!]

15. The Veronicas - Leave Me Alone
Another one of my emo songs reserved for moments of anger.

This song describes me in a million and one ways.

17. Disagree - Suicide Note
Don't worry, I've never been anywhere close to killing myself. But this song is moody and suits people in depression. Err, better not listen to it if you're suicidal though.

18. System Of A Down - Lonely Day
Can I just start off by saying that I love this song? Everybody feels lonely at times, this song is my way out.

19. Nana Mizuki - Hime Murasaki
This is the ending theme of my favourite anime ever, Basilisk and I love it because it has the most beautiful and tortured ending. T_T

I <3 Prince Nuada!

Joy loves Prince Nuada! If you've watched Hellboy 2: The Golden Army then you'll recognize him as the HAWT elf prince who plays the role of badass in the movie. Here's a whole blogpost dedicated to Prince Nuada! *dreams*

Reasons why I shriek and hyperventilate whenever I see Prince Nuada:

1. He looks like a thwarted version of Legolas Greenleaf.
I love Legolas from The Lord Of The Rings but having an evil bad boy version of him is supreme bliss!

2. He can do a million and one somersaults both backwards AND forwards.
His fight scenes are awesome and kind of dizzying to watch because this dude has the ability to twirl, turn, cartwheel, somersault and flip while still managing to look cool all at the same time. Maybe he had a part-time job as an acrobat during the summer. How HAWT is that?!

3. He knows kungfu and uses a menacing looking lance.
Prince Nuada Silverlance, so he is called. His fighting skills is a cross between Jet Li and The Matrix. His silver lance is effing cool, it's retractable and shrinks to a small machete looking weapon. I want one too!

4. He's got a hot body.
Need I say more? *drools*

Okay, so I can go on and on for a whole eight hours bragging about Prince Nuada so I thought showing you this clip of him may explain my fascination. I love Prince Nuada!

I'm Bunny-Phobic

If you're a close friend of mine, you would know that one of the things that Joy is extremely afraid of and will freak out embarassingly whenever in close vicinity of are rabbits. It seems irrational but believe me, my fear has deep psychological roots. As I was peacefully sleeping one night sometime five years ago, I was haunted by a terrifying nightmare. In it, I was walking down the stairs in my school building dressed in my school uniform [baju kurung]. In my dream, there was a dead rabbit in my pocket, it was pure white and had red eyes. I was totally scared because I couldn't take it out of my pocket and had to walk around school with it. Imagine having to have a dead rabbit in your pocket, isn't that scary enough?! Ever since then, I have an incurable fear of rabbits. [Especially white ones with red eyes.]
Ironically enough, I had to take care of Kim's rabbits for her when she went to Langkawi for a vacation. That was one of the biggest sacrifices I've ever made for a friend. Kim, you'd better remember this until your dying day! [LoLZ] I still remember that one of the naughty rabbits escaped from the cage and I was too scared to catch it so I had to get help from my grandfather to do it. My grandfather [dengan penuh bergaya] just carried the rabbit by the ears and throw back in the cage while I was in the background, screaming for my life. [Oh, err. He was really gentle though Kim, hehe...] I don't know if my fear has been cured over the years as I haven't been near any rabbits [or have any reason to] over the years. It's one of the most funniest moments of my life though and I'm sure my friends will remember that as one of my defining weaknesses.

This Time, It's Personal...

I was adamant to have a blog on Blogger although I am already actively writing in my Friendster blog. I don't know why, maybe I'm just obsessive when it comes to blogging or maybe a blogspot seemed so in vogue that I simply must have one! After going through the tedious affairs of registering and creating my blog, I have no idea what to write in it. Reviews, random junk and minute bursts of insanity? Nah, my Friendster blog already covers that pretty well. Well maybe if I have enough time and effort, I will consider posting stuff here that's more personal in the hopes of helping me to rediscover myself. [Okay...] Point is, everybody needs to vent and at certain times, nobody is there to listen to you as you bawl about how much a plate of chicken rice costs you these days, hence blogging was invented. Although I'm a far cry from the type of people who pours their feelings unabashedly on cyberspace, I will try to share as much so that maybe you'll finally understand what's going on in that vacant space inside my head, then again maybe you wont and label me as a lunatic right off the bat. Oh well, I've had enough of my thirty seconds of fame. Until next time, hopefully I come up with something worthwhile! Cheerio!
